Research Paper & Timeline

For my computer applications class we were assigned to write a research paper on a computer- related art topic.  Along with the research paper there are other required components as well. One of the project requirements that I already completed was the timeline.  For my research topic I decided to choose album art.  I decided to choose album art because I love music.  I love to buy new CDs, and I'm always one of the first people to go out and buy a newly released CD.  After I buy a new CD one of the first things I do after I open the packaging and putting the CD into the stereo is looking at the album cover and the book that is inside the case.  I've learned a lot about album art, and how currently that section of graphic design is suffering.  With the new technology and more and more people using itunes album art is a dying profession.   I also learned the Alex Steinweiss was the first person to create an album cover and at the age of 90 he is still working in the field helping young album artists continue in the industry.  Below you will find my timeline.
